Bio

Hello. I’m Amanda (aka Mandy) Evans; A born and raised Jersey girl (who pretends to be a New Yorker) of Irish, Welsh, and Italian decent. I was the quiet, black sheep middle child who spent my youth dancing in my bedroom to Janet Jackson, crushing on Bon Jovi and dreaming of one day performing on Broadway. Rigorous training and persistence paid off and after auditioning for 7 years, I became a Radio City Rockette. I toured all over the world dancing opposite Ben Vereen in the musical, Fosse and a production of The Who’s Tommy before switching gears to becoming a stage and screen actor. In 2005 I studied the Meisner work with Wendy Ward followed by training with Wynn Handman among other reputable NYC teachers before making my TV debut on One Life To Live. Building chops in the indie film hustle led me to producing and starring in the award winning short film, Pickup taking home 5 best actress awards.  In 2018 I was flown to Sofia, Bulgaria for a supporting role opposite Boris Kodjoe (Resident Evil) in the feature film, Nicole and OJ and in 2021 I booked my first lead in the feature film Finster which is set to stream mid 2024.  During the pandemic I had an itch to get back to singing and dancing and as luck would have it booked my first lead in a musical (Sally Bowles in Cabaret). Versatility and passion for the work has also opened doors in the world of classical theater and in 2023 I was hired for regional productions of The Twelfth Night ( Viola) and The Cherry Orchard (Varya). Though an intense go getter, major life change and loss has taught me the value of a well balanced life.  Outside of acting, I’m an agent for AFLAC (the duck), I work for Sotheby’s Jewelry and teach about 20 hours of Pilates per week. I love animals, ballet class, skydiving, going on solo travels to Europe and am often compared to a young Jennifer Connelly. I’ll take it!
